Tampa Electric Company is looking to hire a Data Analyst to support the delivery of data and AI solutions by preparing, analyzing, and visualizing data to enable business insights.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
- Experience working with large utility datasets in Snowflake SQL.
- Experience with Machine Learning and AI data solutions.
- Experience with PowerBI or similar BI tools.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
- Python Essentials/Visualizations
- Data Analytics Essentials, SQL
Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean, and analyze data sets for use in reports, dashboards, and analytics projects.
- Build and maintain business intelligence reports using tools such as MS PowerBI and MS Excel.
- Support solution design and prototyping by providing data analysis and visualization.
- Participate in requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and business readiness activities.
- Monitor data quality and assist with data governance activities.
- Document key fields, terminology, and business processes related to assigned analytics solutions and assist in tracking usage and adoption of analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with business and IT partners to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with SDLC or Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, or related field.
- Occasional weekend and overtime requirements, including on-call rotational support.
