Rexford Industrial Realty, Inc. is looking for a Data Analyst – ESG/Sustainability to provide key research and detailed analytical support for ESG initiatives aligned with their long-term ESG goals and reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience working with large datasets and managing complex data authorization processes
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and the ability to learn new technology applications
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (g., MS Excel, Smartsheet) and ability to quickly learn new software
  • Knowledge of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Energy Star Portfolio Manager, utility authorization and property benchmarking processes highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Perform key research, data collection, and detailed calculations and analytics in support of ESG initiatives aligned with Rexford’s long-term ESG goals and reporting requirements (e.g., GRESB, GRI, CDP, TCFD, SASB)
  • Collect data and prepare reports required for benchmarking submissions to local and state agencies
  • Administer data reporting systems, processes, and procedures, including ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and development of enhancements to existing and new data platforms
  • Assist in the financial analysis of sustainability-related projects and climate risks
  • Identify and implement ways for managing ESG data and reporting efficiently and effectively
  • Support the implementation of Science Based Targets and Net Zero commitment roadmaps (i.e., monitor and quantify the success of implemented initiatives)

  • Self-starter with positive attitude and ability to multi-task in a high work volume, fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including ability to create compelling presentations and convey complex and innovative concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Minimum 3+ years related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education, preferably in a real estate organization and/or ESG/sustainability-related role
