The City of Hampton is seeking a Data Analyst to develop, analyze, and maintain systems that examine violence patterns, create effective interventions targeting specific risk factors, and evaluate the effectiveness of programs designed to reduce gun violence.

- This position is supported through grant funding. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funds.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a closely related field of study and a minimum of one (1) year of full-time equivalent experience in practices and programs for youth, family engagement, child development or family-focused social work or closely related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
- Must successfully pass a background check related to this position.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record based on the City of Hampton’s criteria.
- Able to identify pressing needs and prioritize those as needed, without losing track of other tasks and responsibilities; Ability to effectively manage time and resources.
- Requires considerable travel within the City of Hampton.
