Zelis is looking to solve the problem of inefficient and inaccurate healthcare reimbursement processes by analyzing and managing healthcare claim data related to various pricing methodologies, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial reimbursements.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL (including SELECT, JOINs, CTEs, Subqueries)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau is a plus
  • Knowledge of claim payment systems and healthcare reimbursement policies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Financial modeling and data-driven decision-making experience
  • Experience with claim reimbursement methodologies such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret healthcare claim data to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Interact with SQL databases to extract, manipulate, and analyze healthcare data
  • Create and maintain dashboards and visual reports to communicate data insights effectively
  • Understand and apply claim payment methodologies such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Reimbursement
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to provide data-driven insights and recommendations
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions
  • Assist in ad hoc projects and respond to time-sensitive data requests

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis
