BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina seeks to analyze current operational functions and implement improvements to support operational functions through data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
Requirements
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to acquire programming skills across various software platforms
- Knowledge of or experience with IBM Cognos Analytics or other BI
- Knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Access
- Knowledge of or experience with using SQL in a DB2 environment or other SQL-based application
- Ability to use complex mathematical calculations and understand mathematical and statistical concepts
- Knowledge of relevant computer support systems
Responsibilities
- Extract data from multiple systems and departments using various data manipulation and extraction techniques for regular, cyclical, and ad hoc reporting.
- Perform research, analyze reports, and create statistical models for presentation/review. Summarize findings and communicate results to management.
- Identify operational inadequacies and use various skills and resources to retool processes.
- Communicates with other areas regarding outcomes and reporting.
- Maintain databases and extract data for analysis.
- Run and review reports, analyzing results in support of operational functions.
- Analyze current operational functions and offer and implement improvements.
Other
- A bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree and 2 years of work-related experience
- Four (4) years of related experience as a degree equivalency
- Good organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills
