BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina needs to analyze current operational functions and implement improvements, maintain databases, extract data for analysis, and run/review reports to support operational functions.
Requirements
- Microsoft Office.
- Ability to acquire programming skills across various software platforms.
- Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.
- Knowledge of or experience with IBM Cognos Analytics or other BI
- Knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Access
- Knowledge of or experience with using SQL in a DB2 environment or other SQL-based application
Responsibilities
- Extract data from multiple systems and departments using various data manipulation and extraction techniques for regular, cyclical, and ad hoc reporting.
- Perform research, analyze reports, and create statistical models for presentation/review.
- Identify operational inadequacies and use various skills and resources to retool processes.
- Maintain databases and extract data for analysis.
- Run and review reports, analyzing results in support of operational functions.
Other
- A bachelor’s or Associate’s degree and 2 years of work-related experience.
- Degree equivalency: Four (4) years of related experience.
- Good organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills.
- Ability to use complex mathematical calculations and understand mathematical and statistical concepts.
