BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is looking to solve operational functions and program or process evaluation by analyzing data and creating statistical reports.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts.
- Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.
- Knowledge of programming languages across various software platforms, using DB2, SQL, and/or relational databases.
- Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of tools such as Visual Basic and Macros useful in automating reporting processes.
- SQL server
- Power BI
- Proficiency in Excel
Responsibilities
- Reviews, extracts and analyzes data to be used in formulation of procedures, processes and other requirements.
- Assists with development of complex analysis and sophisticated data compilation, verification, and interpretations to guide divisional efforts.
- Performs focused analyses as needed.
- Creates data search programs to identify pertinent data needed to provide supporting documentation for system or operational enhancements/changes.
- Documents reporting procedures so other staff can run ad hoc reports independently.
- Designs, codes, and maintains complex database programs for the extraction and analysis of data to support financial and operational decisions.
- Analyzes data results, determine the source of aberrant statistics and resolve data issues.

- A Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field.
- 2 years of research and analysis experience.
- Strong organizational, customer service, communications and analytical skills.
- Must have lived in the US for at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.
