Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) is seeking a Data Analyst II to assist in the development of data standards, policies, and procedures, and to support the creation and implementation of data architecture strategies and solutions.
Requirements
- Experience analyzing complex data sets with SQL
- Develop medium to highly complex logical database designs, logical data models and relational data definitions in support of corporate and customer information systems requirements.
- Gather and document the data needs of the organization.
- Collect, analyze and summarize data to support business decisions. Design reports to identify patterns and trends.
- Design, develop and deploy query parameters, layout, filters, and analytics for program information solutions.
- Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data model.
- Ensure and maintain a high level of data integrity by using tools to monitor and mass update data changes.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the development of data standards, policies and procedures
- Support in the development of short- and long-term solutions of information architecture strategies
- Work with IT teams to ensure compliance. Perform regular audits of data
- Collaborate with data architects to design the common customer view of information. Support creation and implementation of detailed specifications for various IT projects / solutions.
- Document and maintain all data definitions, data sources, business meaning and usage of information.
- Participate in development of single source data strategy.
- Understand internal and external data sources for new data and better sources of data feeds.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Three (3) years IT work experience in data modeling, data analysis, relational DBMS design and support and relevant computing environment required.
- Analytical thinking accuracy and attention to detail skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
