Analyzing and maintaining clinical data elements from multiple internal and external sources, ensuring data quality and adhering to HIPAA rules and regulations
Requirements
- Strong skills in SQL programming, relational database management, reporting software tools and MS Excel
- Strong skills in data management systems and extensive spreadsheet, database and presentation graphics knowledge
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project)
- ITIL certification or training, preferred
Responsibilities
- Analyzes business needs, defines requirements, develops solutions, implements, manages, and supports systems
- Manipulates, mines, and analyzes large, complex datasets
- Creates and maintains high quality system, report, and interface test scripts
- Tests and debugs systems to ensure they are functioning properly
- Coordinates user acceptance testing
- Collaborates with other IT professionals to integrate new systems with existing ones
- Performs system updates, patches, service releases, and upgrades as needed
Other
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required
- 5 years of combined experience providing information technology support, or equivalent education, required
- Experience in a healthcare environment, required
- Business and financial experience, preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively interact with external contacts, administrators, medical staff, and employees at all levels
