WEX is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst III to transform raw data into actionable insights that will guide business decisions. The role involves understanding business challenges, defining reporting needs, and creating data visualizations and reports to address these needs.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in SQL is essential.
- Hands-on experience with a major BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot).
- Experience with data platform technologies and concepts
- Some knowledge of a scripting language like Python or R is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex data analysis, leveraging SQL to query and manipulate large datasets.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other business intelligence solutions to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide business insights.
- Design and build intuitive and aesthetically pleasing dashboards using tools like Power BI or ThoughtSpot.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting.
- Identify and implement improvements to data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
- Automate recurring reports and analyses to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data and BI tools.

- 3-5 years of experience in a business intelligence or data analyst role.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure that BI solutions meet their needs.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and compelling stories for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor junior analysts, provide guidance on best practices, and contribute to the overall data literacy of the organization.
- Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to business stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of business operations and the ability to connect data insights to business outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
