Emory Healthcare is looking for a Data Analyst III to handle complex reporting processes, including data merging, unstructured data mining, data type conversion, and the creation of moving window metrics. The role requires advanced programming skills and a strong understanding of statistical theory to convey complex findings to multidisciplinary audiences.

Requirements

  • The Analyst is advanced in at least 1 programming language (e.g. R, SAS, SQL, Python, VBA).
  • Key programming skills include ability to independently write macros or functions and ability to write code that can be readily adapted for other reporting needs.
  • The Analyst has a foundational understanding of statistical theory and underlying mathematical distributions, and is able to convey complex findings in simple terms to multidisciplinary audiences.
  • The Analyst is capable of building advanced data collection tools with conditional logic and feedback processes.

Responsibilities

  • responsible for complex reporting processes that may require functions such as many-to-many merges, mining of unstructured data to create discrete data elements, converting data types, creating moving window metrics.
  • The Analyst is advanced in at least 1 programming language (e.g. R, SAS, SQL, Python, VBA).
  • Key programming skills include ability to independently write macros or functions and ability to write code that can be readily adapted for other reporting needs.
  • The Analyst has a foundational understanding of statistical theory and underlying mathematical distributions, and is able to convey complex findings in simple terms to multidisciplinary audiences.
  • The Analyst is capable of building advanced data collection tools with conditional logic and feedback processes.
  • The Analyst is a subject-matter expert in the area they provide reporting for, and are able to autonomously lead projects with minimal oversight to achieve project deliverables.
  • The Analyst will help grow skillsets for other analysts within the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant work experience, or Associate's degree and 4+ years of experience
