Milliman's Health Research Team is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to analyze healthcare data, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using PowerBI and/or Tableau is preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL or Python for data analysis and manipulation is preferred.
- Ability to visually prepare, read, interpret, and analyze detailed electronic data.
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to support healthcare business objectives.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and automation of data visualizations using PowerBI and/or Tableau.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Utilize SQL or Python to extract, clean, and manipulate data as required.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy by performing regular quality checks.
- Support the documentation of data processes and procedures.

- Individual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (will consider recent graduates).
- Available to work part-time (at least 20-29 hours per week from October to December 2025.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
