The Data Analyst Intern will have the opportunity to apply their analytical skills and technical knowledge to real-world business problems. Working closely with an experienced SC Operational Excellence professionals and cross-functional teams including Order Management, Warehousing and Bulk Terminal Operations and procurement, the intern will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, and using data to drive insights and decisions.
Requirements
- Familiarity with programming languages SQL
- Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
- Coursework in statistics
- Coursework in programming
- Coursework in databases
Responsibilities
- Assist with data collection, cleaning, and preparation tasks
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies
- Create data visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to present findings
- Support the development of reports, presentations, and other data-driven deliverables
Other
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's program in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, etc.
- Completion of sophomore year
- Background or interest in chemical, manufacturing, or related industries
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Good communication and collaboration skills
