ConnectPrep is looking to redefine 'tutoring' by using data, insight, and extensive teaching experience to find solutions for students, and the Data Analyst Intern will play a role in developing and iterating models that drive analytics to improve education.
Requirements
- Experience with SQL, Pandas, or other fast analysis language
- Experience in data analysis or building pipeline tools in Python
- Some coding background and a strong interest in technology
- Advanced Excel skills (Advanced Formulas, Tables & Formatting, Conditional Formatting, Advanced Charting, Pivot tables & Pivot Reporting, VBA & Macros)
- Background in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
- Creative problem solving, strong math/quantitative skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to use Excel productively, including data tables, simulations, and solver
Responsibilities
- Engage with team of educators to validate and iterate models that drive analytics
- Develop an understanding of algorithms, technologies, and platforms that support products
- Synthesize knowledge into actionable tests to build modules that assist in identifying academic needs of individual students
- Brainstorm ways to use product to collect data that provides insight into student needs
- Build pipeline tools in Python
- Analyze data using SQL, Pandas, or other fast analysis languages
- Create data infrastructure and insightful analytics to improve education
