Cencora is looking for a Lead Enterprise Data Governance Analyst to develop and manage enterprise-wide data governance initiatives to ensure data quality, integrity, compliance, and accessibility, and to address data-related challenges and drive continuous improvement in the use and management of enterprise data assets.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 or more in data governance, data management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior analyst role.
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks in a complex organizational environment.
- Expertise with enterprise data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) and industry standards (e.g., DAMA DMBoK).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure) and enterprise data architecture principles.
- Experience with master data management (MDM) solutions is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and execution of the enterprise data governance framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Drive the creation, refinement, and enforcement of data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant data management practices across the organization.
- Assist data owners and stewards in the process to define enterprise-level data quality metrics and lead efforts to monitor, measure, and improve data quality across multiple systems and business units.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of metadata repositories, data catalogs, and data dictionaries to enhance data discoverability, usability, and transparency.
- Lead the identification, escalation, and resolution of data-related issues, ensuring enterprise-wide visibility and prioritization of critical challenges.
- Ensure data governance practices comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data governance initiatives and provide actionable insights to stakeholders and senior leadership.

- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, data stewards, and business units, providing strategic guidance on data governance initiatives and fostering a culture of data accountability.
- Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to promote the adoption of data governance practices and ensure a consistent understanding of data-related responsibilities across the organization.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior analysts and data stewards, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams or data governance projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
