Booz Allen needs a data analyst to support machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence development campaigns to improve intelligence for USCENTCOM's data lake environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience designing algorithms and data manipulation capabilities using programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL
  • Knowledge of how to identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Ability to develop data pipelines and integrate data tools and solutions to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers to monitor and report on data
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Intelligence and Data analysis teams to produce qualitative and quantitative data that support Intelligence products
  • Experience with Distributed data or computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL
  • Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
  • Experience with C++, JavaScript, and Go programming languages

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through collection, interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of large data sets.
  • Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
  • Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
  • Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across leading Joint Combatant Command.
  • Use your technical knowledge to support client and stakeholder relationships in USCENTCOM.
  • Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.

Other

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field
  • Experience supporting Joint Combatant Commands or other DoD organizations
  • Apply your communication skills and analytical mindset by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.
