The North Carolina Education Lottery needs to programmatically develop and maintain SAS extract-transform-load processes, datasets, business intelligence dashboards, stored processes, and daily scheduled SAS reporting. They also need to plan, design, programmatically develop, and implement business intelligence solutions to aid in strategic decision making.
Requirements
- Skills in Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Web Based applications such as SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Forcast Studio, and SAS Text Analytics
- SAS advanced programming, including - macros, stored procedures and arrays
- Development of SQL procedures
- Advanced skills within Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts and mathematical operations
- Ability to analyze data in a detail-oriented fashion as it relates to industry specific concepts and products
Responsibilities
- Programmatically develops and maintains SAS extract-transform-load processes, datasets, business intelligence dashboards, stored processes, and daily scheduled SAS reporting.
- Performs the testing and validation of SAS datasets and applications against known internal control systems
- Plans, designs, programmatically develops, and implements business intelligence solutions to aid in strategic decision making for NCEL management
- Monitors implements and manages file archival as necessary to maintain appropriate server space and resources to execute daily SAS jobs
- Performs data modeling from the conceptual stage as it relates to new data sources; executing the development effort to the point of production physical data modelling implementation within SAS
- Analyzes existing organizational reports/reporting mechanisms looking for opportunities to improve performance, efficiency or reduce the time required to execute repetitive required tasks
- Creates internal customer reports as needed using other vendor provided business intelligence tools
