ChildMetrix needs a part-time Data Analyst to clean and analyze administrative datasets using R, transforming them into reproducible reports for child welfare agencies.
Requirements
- Strong R skills and hands-on experience with R Markdown/Quarto
- Comfort with joins, reshaping, functions, and messy datasets
- Git/GitHub fluency
- Experience handling confidential data securely (HIPAA/FERPA)
- Shiny + Plotly
- data visualization skills
- familiarity with child welfare data
Responsibilities
- Clean, join, and validate large, complex CSV / Excel data in R
- Identify, fix, and document data quality issues
- Calculate performance metrics for child welfare agencies
- Produce polished, reproducible R Markdown/Quarto reports and supporting data files
- Work with a small team to build and maintain repeatable workflows and data pipelines
