Support healthcare data integration and validation efforts within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) initiative
Requirements
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or IRIS
- Experience with data validation, data profiling, and reconciliation in healthcare or enterprise data systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with testing lifecycle activities and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) to manage issues and document validation outcomes
- Experience supporting VA healthcare data systems or EHR modernization efforts
- Familiarity with VX130, IRIS mirrored environments, DAWA, or cutover extract validation workflows
Responsibilities
- Analyze and validate clinical and operational data across source and target systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with VA data standards
- Execute and enhance existing data quality routines for cutover extracts, mirrored systems, and data syndication models
- Develop and run complex SQL queries to support data profiling, data reconciliation, and defect analysis
- Document anomalies, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to resolve data integrity issues
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support go-live readiness assessments, cutover validations, and data mapping reviews
- Support the development of test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices related to healthcare data migration and data quality checks

- Must reside within the continental US
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- 5+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst or Quality Analyst in a data-intensive environment
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field
