CareMessage is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, delivering actionable insights, high-quality reporting, and data-driven recommendations to improve health equity for low-income populations.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL (preferably BigQuery) and data visualization tools (Metabase preferred).
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and analysis of large datasets.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis or scripting languages like Python or R.
- Exposure to predictive analytics or AI/ML workflows.
- Experience with data governance and metadata documentation.
- Commitment to privacy and compliance standards (HIPAA familiarity preferred).
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (GCP preferred).
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, operations, and customer success teams to translate business needs into analytical requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analyses in tools like Metabase, BigQuery, and Google Sheets.
- Perform in-depth data exploration to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through QA processes and collaboration with Data Engineering.
- Optimize and document SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Partner with Data Engineers on data modeling improvements and pipeline testing.
- Help define and track key metrics, including those related to clinical outcomes, increased access to care, and improvements in Social Determinants of health.

- Ability to translate complex data findings into clear business recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience in healthcare, public health, or working with social determinants of health data.
