Datavant is looking to solve complex healthcare challenges by leveraging data excellence, specifically in risk adjustment for Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and ACA programs.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SQL, including advanced query development for analytic purposes.
  • Experience with data modeling and analysis using Python, R, or similar languages.
  • Deep understanding of risk adjustment models such as HCC, RxHCC, HHS-HCC, and CDPS.
  • Hands-on experience with database technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Sigma for data visualization and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large, complex datasets and identify trends.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, security practices, and relevant healthcare legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop scalable data workflows and analytics pipelines, utilizing tools such as SQL, dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and Databricks.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, coding patterns, disease prevalence, and other insights to improve productivity and quality in risk adjustment processes.
  • Provide on-demand real-time data insights through ad-hoc queries and develop reusable data products for broader stakeholder use.
  • Support risk adjustment medical record coding, chart retrieval, and quality initiatives by aggregating and interpreting data from multiple sources.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy comprehensive reports and dashboards to meet business needs.
  • Automate reporting processes where feasible to enhance scalability and efficiency across multiple clients and teams.
  • Run risk adjustment models for Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and ACA programs to forecast patient risk scores and assess ROI based on historical and projected data.

Other

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong focus on healthcare or risk adjustment domains.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health plan operations, coding, HEDIS abstraction, and quality management.
  • Mentor and support junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
