Vanguard is looking to solve the business problem of synthesizing actionable insights from large, disparate data for leadership consumption within the Personal Investor business. This involves understanding business strategy, translating requirements into analytical approaches, and developing resilient reporting products.
Requirements
- Strong technical skill set (SQL, python preferred)
- Experience with PI enterprise Data
- Experience in building resilient reporting products (e.g. dashboards)
- Experience applying advanced analytical techniques in a workplace setting (e.g. predictive modeling)
- Strong technical skills (SQL, Python, Visualization tools)
- Experience with testing methodologies (test design, results gathering and recommendations build out)
Responsibilities
- Acquires and compiles structured and unstructured data and verifies its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.
- Performs analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods.
- Prepares and delivers expert level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.
- Develops, owns and manages recurring analytic or reporting processes.
- Translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and leads complex projects through completion.
- Applies advanced analytical techniques in a workplace setting (e.g. predictive modeling).
- Builds resilient reporting products (e.g. dashboards).

- A deep understanding of or interest to learn about the Personal Investor business
- Ability to take large disparate data and synthesize actionable insights for leadership consumption
- Desire & ability to collaborate closely with our business partners to consult & gather requirements
- Knowledge of analytic roadmap development in partnership with business stakeholders
- Engages with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals.
- Minimum of five years related work experience.
