Serco is seeking a Data Analyst I to support the Joint Staff J7 team by collecting and analyzing large datasets to uncover insights and create solutions that support organizational goals within the Collective Joint Training task order.
Requirements
- The proven ability to design, plan, analyze, execute, assess, adjust, evaluate, and report activities with little supervision.
- The proven ability to plan work and track / report progress.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and demonstrated ability to think logically.
- Ability to support and explain technical positions on issues.
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
- Ability to effectively interact with customers, including technical personnel from internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a collaborative troubleshooting environment.
Responsibilities
- Gather data from multiple sources and prepare it for analysis.
- Analyze large volumes of unstructured data to identify trends and patterns.
- Develop machine learning models and predictive algorithms to solve business problems.
- Use statistical techniques to validate findings and ensure accuracy.
- Automate processes using AI tools and programming.
- Create clear, engaging visualizations and written reports to communicate results.
- Work closely with different teams to apply data-driven insights.
Other
- An active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
- A U.S. Citizenship.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Data Analytics, or related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- To be well founded, non-opinionated communication skills including ability to write/prepare formal reports is essential.
- The ability to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia.
