Google's Trust and Safety team is looking to protect and respect users by ensuring online safety in both core and emerging areas, including fighting abuse and fraud across Google products
Requirements
- Coding (e.g., C/C++, Python, Java)
- Databases and querying (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce, Hadoop)
- Front end development (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
- Statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS)
- Web or Machine Learning
Responsibilities
- Work with large and unstructured data sets to get subjective insights from our vast data sources and develop solutions for scalable enforcement on non-compliant inventory
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Engineering, Sales and Policy to update policies, fix product vulnerabilities and provide a safe online experience for our users
- Build and evaluate models that automate decision-making
- Enhance our operational workflows, tools and systems via data analysis, technical expertise, and efficient process improvements
- Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage/holidays
Other
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cyber security, or related fields
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills with capability to process high amounts of data to drive business strategies and decisions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
