Responsibilities
- Design and teach a curriculum to promote data literacy and the principles of data quality and visualization across the organization.
- Partner with product owners to gather, clarify, and translate business requirements for Power BI reports, including creating mock-ups and wireframes.
- Create and document standard work for cleansing, structuring, and preparing data for various use cases.
- Work with product owners to execute data cleansing plans and participate in root cause analysis of data issues.
- Maintain an enterprise data issue log and follow through on resolutions.
- Partner with business and IT teams to identify and resolve data quality and visualization issues.
- Recommend process improvements to support sustainable data quality and visual reporting practices.
Other
- Partner with product owners to gather, clarify, and translate business requirements for Power BI reports, including creating mock-ups and wireframes.
- Communicate the roles and responsibilities of product owners across the agency.
- Define, gain consensus around, and clearly communicate expectations for product owner engagement in data governance.
- Assist in identifying key product owners and ensuring alignment with data platforms and business processes.
- Assign data quality responsibilities and monitor adherence to defined quality standards.
- Facilitate regular meetings with product owners to align on data quality and visualization standards.
- Ensure stakeholders are informed of key data decisions, standards, and updates.
- Strong ability to build consensus across diverse functions and levels of seniority
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a team-based, evolving environment
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
