American Modern Insurance Group is seeking interns to contribute to their Data Analytics and AI initiatives, specifically focusing on recreating legacy dashboards in a modern Azure environment, conducting consumer data research, developing APIs for innovation projects, and leveraging automation (GenAI) for portfolio management.
Requirements
- Familiarity and ability to develop in Power BI and Data Bricks.
- Familiarity with research techniques.
- Some familiarity with API development and testing skills with any platform - Microsoft APIM and Azure are preferred and overall software development experience.
- Familiarity with coding (SQL/Python), Data wrangling and Data Visualization tools (PowerBI).
Responsibilities
- Gathering customer requirements to design, implement, and provide support for reports and dashboards within the Claims Department.
- Support our Data Transformation initiative by recreating our legacy dashboards and reports in our new modern Azure environment.
- Participate in agent and policyholder research, voice-of-customer data collection and analytics, and agile user testing.
- Perform all software development activities including development and testing.
- Focus on API development and testing and various Innovation projects with technical skills to develop prototype websites for testing and validation purposes during the internship.
- Exposure to Data collection, accumulation monitoring and creation of dashboards leveraging automation (GenAI).
- Participate in peril based research, documentation and creation of SOPs.
Other
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science and Analytics, Information Systems, Business Management, Project Management and Risk Management.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
- Confidence in use of MS Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notes, Teams)
- Candidates must be local (Amelia, OH) and have reliable transportation due to the hybrid work schedule. Interns and will work in the office at least 2 days a week
