The Data & Analytics Developer is responsible for building and optimizing the data pipelines, processes, and platforms that power credit union analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. This position is responsible for the maintenance of the credit union’s enterprise Data Warehouse, ETL/ELT processes, and Business Intelligence (BI) systems. The position works to combine data from disparate sources, gather business requirements, and apply business logic to produce secure, consistent and meaningful systems to drive corporate initiatives and goals.
Requirements
- Knowledge of: Relational and non-relational databases, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures
- Knowledge of: Modern ETL/ELT tools and practices
- Knowledge of: BI and analytics tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI)
- Knowledge of: Cloud data services (Azure, AWS, or GCP preferred)
- Skill in: SQL and data modeling
- Skill in: Scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Skill in: Data visualization and storytelling
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data warehouse, data models, and administer associated BI and analytics platforms
- Design and automate ingestion of data from diverse sources (internal databases, APIs, third-party services, cloud platforms)
- Develop and implement ETL/ELT processes, reports and queries in support of business analytics
- Implement policies and processes for data quality, stewardship, cataloging, and lineage
- Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports
- Create audit and governance policies to ensure consistency and accuracy of data
- Create technical policies, procedures, and documentation for what is developed including data flow diagrams and reporting library
