LexisNexis Risk Solutions aims to help customers make better, timelier decisions by providing data and advanced analytics for risk management and decision-making. The Data Science Internship Program supports the Auto Underwriting Analytics team in applying Data Science methods for analyzing data pertaining to their Underwriting suite of products.
Requirements
- Possess foundational knowledge of natural language processing, machine learning, and information retrieval.
- Display familiarity with data manipulation languages and showcase a basic grasp of data modeling principles.
Responsibilities
- Conducting analysis and creating performance reports in support of existing and new product development, and/or customer sales.
- Developing analytic models, writing analysis code, and working with internal or external stakeholders to validate the accuracy of results.
- Following established best practices in statistical work and analyzing plans by executing appropriate statistical and modeling techniques.
- Assembling, merging, and parsing large amounts of data to detect meaningful patterns and trends.
- Providing support for client inquiries regarding score calculations or other analytical outputs.
- Participating in targeted training designed to enhance technical skills and develop core competencies.
- Documenting and communicating analytical work and results clearly.
Other
- Be a currently enrolled student working on a Master’s in a Scientific, Mathematical, or Computer field.
- Qualified applicants must be graduating between December 2026 and May 2027.
- Be a natural problem solver, able to collaborate with your team to resolve issues.
