Citizens is looking to develop the next generation of colleagues and support innovative data & analytics initiatives across the bank by hiring Data Analyst Graduate Interns

Requirements

  • Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets, including data cleaning, transformation, and exploration
  • Technical Familiarity: Exposure to or interest in learning tools such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Amazon S3, and Alteryx
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
  • Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
  • Machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques
  • Data mining and data warehousing concepts
  • Cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Azure

Responsibilities

  • Work with business partners and mentors to review the business question, project objectives, available data, and to gather requirements to understand the best analytical approach
  • Work within our data repositories to assemble, manage, and investigate relevant data
  • Quantify information and sort it for analysis, investigate and highlight trends
  • Collect, identify, analyze, and interpret business data to enable strategic decision-making for business needs and requirements
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional partners and internal teams to deliver solutions in a timely fashion, using storytelling to present data in a persuasive manner
  • Gain feedback from partners and iteratively fine tune an approach to sufficiently resolve the question and maximize business impact
  • Present their contributions to colleagues and business leaders as a capstone exercise

Other

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s or PhD) in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2027 for Master’s students or concurrently enrolled in a PhD program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
