Framatome is looking to solve the business problem of ensuring the safe, economical production of clean electricity by supporting the data-driven inspections of steam generators during maintenance outages.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one of major object-oriented languages (C++, C-Sharp, Java)
- Understanding of relation database systems, preferably SQL
- Scripting, such as in PowerShell, SQL stored procedures, VBA, or bash
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
- Ability to learn and maintain legacy codebases
- Willingness to automate repetitive tasks
- Curiosity and problem-solving skills to pursue, identify and resolve issues involving interconnected systems
Responsibilities
- Leverage skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for customers
- Serve as a data manager during field operations, using Framatome’s proprietary software to maintain and certify data integrity in real time
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers, and IT specialists to maintain and modernize the software systems that power inspections
- Maintain and certify data integrity in real time during field operations
- Use relation database systems, preferably SQL, to maintain clean, accurate, and scalable data systems
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting, such as in PowerShell, SQL stored procedures, VBA, or bash
- Respond to field needs, make calm, informed decisions under schedule pressure, and communicate clearly in a cross-functional environment
Other
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Science, a technical field, or comparable experience in lieu of degree
- At least 10 years of directly related experience
- Strong communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Excellent problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Up to 25% travel required
