Lynker is seeking a talented Data Architect to join their team in support of a long term government contract. The role involves managing and improving data architecture, ETL processes, and database performance for a large Oracle data warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and efficient data transfers.
Requirements
- Experience designing and building dimensional structures and star schemas
- Provide database support activities for all Oracle 19c database environments including Periodic database management such as performance tuning, backup/recovery, expansion, manage security, etc.
- Write, troubleshoot and improve SQL
- Provide System Administration and development support for Qlik Sense Enterprise
- Knowledge of the following is a plus: Qlik Sense Enterprise, Apache Webserver, JBoss 6 Application server, SAS metadata server 9.4, SAS OLAP server 9.4, SAS Web Infrastructure Platform 9.4
- Coordinate between with Unix System and Oracle Database Administrators for security patching and incident troubleshooting
- Candidates for this position must possess a certification as an Oracle Database 11g Administrator Oracle Certified Professional
Responsibilities
- Database architectural design and construction for both new database and existing database environments
- Establish best practices for ETL processing in Oracle relational databases.
- Lead team members in developing and maintaining documentation regarding data quality assurance and data loading processes
- Coordinate with survey contractors to provide efficient and accurate data transfers and loading of survey data from SAS and other sources thru standardization/automation of ETL processing
- Refine/improve data standards and structures for all aspects of the data management life cycle
- Manage all transformation activities for a large Oracle 19c-based data warehouse
- Provide database support activities for all Oracle 19c database environments including Periodic database management such as performance tuning, backup/recovery, expansion, manage security, etc.
Other
- Leading a team of Data analysts, database administrators, and data quality analysts
- Mentor team members on industries best practices regarding data processing and relational database design.
- Responsible for managing the daily activities for a large statistical data warehouse, including (1) ensuring the accuracy of all data transfers into the data warehouse, (2) maintaining the performance of a large Oracle Data Warehouse including both database and application performance, (3) coordinating activities with survey contractors to provide efficient and accurate data transfers, and (4) provide System Administration activities for both Unix and Linux environments.

- 8-10+ years of data architecture experience.
