Intermountain Health is looking to design, implement, and maintain both traditional and modern data infrastructures at the staff level, requiring a Data Architect – Senior to create scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions, lead enterprise-level data integration strategies, and ensure data quality and performance across the organization.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency with SQL and extensive experience with traditional RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Significant experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for data architecture and storage solutions.
- Deep familiarity with programming languages such as Python and PySpark for data engineering tasks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and tools, including both traditional (e.g., SSIS, Informatica) and cloud-native solutions (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks).
- Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake for real-time and batch data processing.
- Proficiency in data streaming technologies such as Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or Azure Event Hubs.
- Experience working with APIs to retrieve and integrate data from external systems.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both traditional and modern data infrastructures at the staff level.
- Combines deep expertise in relational databases, cloud technologies, and big data tools to create scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions.
- Leads the development of enterprise-level data integration strategies, ensuring data quality and performance across the organization
- Responsible for running moderate to complex projects independently and mentoring staff-level architects/engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of data models, pipelines, and warehouses across cloud and on-premise systems
