Lark Health is seeking a Data Business Analyst to act as a bridge between business strategy, client requirements, and data delivery, ensuring their health coaching platform provides reliable, tailored, and impactful reporting solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in client-focused, data-driven environments, preferably within healthcare, wellness, or regulated industries
- Strong understanding of data flows, reporting systems, and data lifecycle management
- Experience in translating business needs into scalable and measurable reporting solutions
- Ability to define metrics and success criteria for data products or reports
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Data Science
- Familiarity with agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Translate business and client requirements into detailed specifications, user stories, and documentation for data engineers, scientists, and analysts
- Align data collection strategies with product objectives, ensuring reporting designs support current needs and future scalability
- Review and validate initial report outputs for accuracy, relevance, and business impact, iterating based on feedback
- Develop and maintain standardized file specifications for partner data exchanges, ensuring compliance and thorough documentation
- Work closely with Product Managers to discover high-level business needs and define measurable success criteria
- Gather feedback from clients and internal teams to enhance reporting usability, efficiency, and overall satisfaction
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing reporting processes and identifying opportunities for optimization
Other
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Identify and manage data-related risks, including security breaches and integration failures, collaborating with Security and Data Governance teams to mitigate issues
- Exceptional requirements elicitation, documentation, and communication skills
- Knowledge of healthcare data privacy and compliance standards such as HIPAA and GDPR is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degrees preferred
