Meta is seeking a Data Center Engineer Intern to resolve and diagnose server issues at scale, escalate issues, and work with remote engineering teams within a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Linux
- Knowledge of modifying and developing in Python, SQL, and/or shell scripting
- Server hardware repair experience
- Conceptual knowledge of networking technologies, such as DNS, RAID, and DHCP
Responsibilities
- Work within Meta's ticketing system in support of the health of Meta's server fleet
- Act as the first point of contact for break fix technicians
- Assist with projects (new capacity as well as retrofits) and repairs throughout the data center
- Triage and conduct initial analysis to debug hardware and Linux OS related issues
- Help to create documentation for the global data center knowledge base
- Assist with process improvements and best practices in data center operations

- In the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree or Associate’s degree in a technical field
- Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
