Google is looking to innovate and develop custom silicon solutions for their direct-to-consumer products, aiming to deliver unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. This role will contribute to shaping the next generation of hardware experiences by analyzing manufacturing and field data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and ensuring product quality.

Requirements

  • Experience with advanced statistical methodologies (e.g., Design Of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Controls (SPC), six sigma, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Fishbone, etc.).
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization using SQL, JMP, R, Matlab, Tableau, PowerBI or Python+
  • 8 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or product engineering of cloud hardware technology or electronic hardware systems.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute data collection activities for high complexity technical issues.
  • Drive process design, optimization, and qualification activities of a manufacturing process for a component, part, or product.
  • Gather and analyze manufacturing/field data within the data center environment to extract actionable insights and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor, review and present product performance data and metrics to stakeholders in a concise and clear way that enables data-driven decision making.
  • Review, edit, improve, and create technical documentation such as deployment guides, population documents, and repairs guides based on data, investigations, technician feedback, and quality fundamentals.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Materials or a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time as needed.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.
  • Certified Reliability/Quality Engineer (CRE/CQE) certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
