Aflac is looking for an analyst to perform organizational research, develop tactical reporting and analysis frameworks, and create mathematical modeling tools to identify business issues, trends, and opportunities, ultimately providing insights and recommendations to the organization.
Requirements
- SQL, Python, AWS, DataViz Tools.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to mentor and train other analysts and business partners on analytical methods, tools, reports, and data.
- Advanced knowledge of the operations of the business and the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated experience performing complex predictive and prescriptive business related analyses.
- Ability to collaborate with business unit customers, IT, business partners, and all levels of leadership to deliver results.
- Strong facilitation and project management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Performs organizational research by gathering, interpreting and comparing operational data to benchmarking/best practice data, identifies significant business issues, trends and opportunities and provides insights/recommendations to the organization.
- Develops tactical reporting and analysis frameworks, considering performance of at least three business areas.
- Develops and updates mathematical modeling tools for internal business areas.
- Leads special projects requiring commensurate analytical expertise and the development of executive level presentations.
- Ensures appropriate measures and reports are defined and implemented to assess organizational performance and/or initiative performance.
- Remains abreast of the latest software to build reports and conduct analysis most efficiently.
- Partners with peer group to lead the architecture, development, and deployment of analytics tools that enable efficiency and scale in discovering actionable insights.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and transition projects by mentoring/developing others.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Computer Science or related field.
- 4 - 6 years of job related experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
