Free Market Health supports forward-thinking payers and specialty pharmacies of all sizes who need to operate in a complex and opaque market. The Data Engineer will be responsible for helping to implement, grow, and optimize our data and data pipeline architecture.
Requirements
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and scalable data stores.

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain optimized data architecture.
- Identify and implement automation of manual processes, optimized data delivery, and designed architecture plans focused on scalability and user accessibility.
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights to be incorporated into Free Market Health applications and used internally for business development.
- Work with the Cloud Architecture team and other stakeholders to ensure the ongoing security and confidentiality of sensitive healthcare information.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and challenges then work to implement iterative solutions.
- Work with the Executive, Product, Engineering and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
Other
- 3+ years’ experience managing data and data solutions
- Healthcare technology experience with medical and pharmacy claims handling/processing is preferred
- Ability to work within a team, communicating and documenting effectively
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
