The company is looking to support the design, development, and maintenance of data systems and pipelines, and is seeking a Data Engineer to contribute to the team’s data engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Exposure to data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
- Participation in open-source, academic, or personal data engineering projects
- Programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java
- Data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and database management
- Foundational concepts in data engineering
Responsibilities
- Continuously build proficiency in data engineering tools, technologies, and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java.
- Accurately and efficiently execute assigned data engineering tasks.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of reliable, scalable data pipelines that support business objectives.
- Participate in data quality assurance efforts, including testing and validating data pipelines and systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for data workflows, processes, and system configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and support system maintenance.
- Identify and troubleshoot basic data issues.
- Collaborate with senior team members to resolve complex problems and implement effective solutions.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree from a Four (4) year College or University in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a data engineering, data analytics, or related technical role
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Conduct oneself professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
