CivilGrid is a venture-backed SaaS construction tech company building the "Google Maps for the Underground." The company aggregates public and proprietary utility, geotechnical, environmental, and jurisdictional data. The consolidated information is sold via our collaborative SaaS mapping platform to engineers and developers who need it to make early-stage decisions on real estate and infrastructure projects. Real time data access reduces labor and project delays, accelerates decision making and reduces project risk. Collaborative features ensure faster information flow and decisioning inside and outside the organization and better project insight retention over time.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Demonstrated experience with data analysis, visualization, and statistical methods
- Experience with data engineering, ETL processes, or database management
- Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar)
- Familiarity with software engineering concepts such as git basic devops
- Experience with GIS, geospatial data, or construction/infrastructure industries
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines, automation scripts, and analytical tools to support business operations
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that drive decision-making
- Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for internal stakeholders and leadership
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and operations to solve high-priority business problems
- Own projects end-to-end with minimal supervision—from scoping to execution to presentation
- Identify process inefficiencies and build solutions that scale
- Experience with data engineering, ETL processes, or database management

- Hybrid with in-person work Philadelphia, PA 1-2 days/week, in addition to occasional travel for team off-sites and client visits.
