Mayo Clinic is looking to build, optimize, and maintain data solutions that support enterprise-wide analytics, machine learning initiatives, and digital transformation efforts to improve healthcare delivery
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration of large datasets
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)
- Knowledge of ETL processes, orchestration frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
- GCP Professional Data Engineer certification is preferred
- Experience with data analysis, data profiling, and data quality assessments
Responsibilities
- Assemble and manage large, complex datasets to meet diverse business and technical requirements
- Perform detailed data analysis and investigations to fulfill customer requests, explain results, and recommend solutions
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration
- Build and enhance data models to support advanced analytics and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver data solutions aligned with Mayo Clinic’s architecture standards
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance throughout all data management processes
- Implement automation, monitoring, and performance enhancements for data workflows to ensure reliability and efficiency
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university or college
- Alternatively, an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously
