Guidehouse is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Technology AI and Data practice with a dedicated focus on military clients in the Defense & Security segment to design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and interactive dashboards
Requirements
- Proven experience with Databricks, business intelligence tools, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark
- Experience building ETL pipelines and integrating data sources into reporting platforms
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with ADVANA
- Databricks Data Engineer Associate or Professional certification
- Experience working with military clients
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with military clients to understand data architecture, data pipeline and reporting requirements
- Lead the development of ETL pipelines and dashboard integrations using Databricks and Microsoft Power Platform tools (i.e. Power BI)
- Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, SQL, and Python
- Develop and optimize dashboards aligned with federal reporting standards, as needed
- Apply AI/ML tools to automate metadata extraction, clustering, and dashboard scripting
- Optimize data pipelines for performance with large data sets for both analytics and transactional load use cases (e.g., OLAP, OLTP)
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance, security, and performance standards
Other
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'SECRET' security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Minimum TWO (2) years of experience in data engineering and dashboard development
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
