Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for building and optimizing data workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and toolchains (e.g., AWS, GCP, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, Prefect, or similar.
  • Experience with data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing concepts in large-scale environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline from a top-tier university
  • Experience working in fintech or other consumer-focused, high-growth technology startup environments.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows to support analytics and product initiatives.
  • Integrate data from various internal and external sources, ensuring seamless ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Help shape our data architecture, including data warehouse/schema design, storage solutions, and workflow orchestration.
  • Optimize queries and storage performance for efficiency at scale, especially as data volume grows with our customer base.
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring systems, and troubleshooting tools to ensure data reliability and accuracy.
  • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional partners to understand data needs and deliver timely solutions.
  • Maintain clear documentation for pipelines, architecture decisions, and standards to support team alignment and onboarding.

Other

  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline from a top-tier university
