Tria Federal is seeking a Data Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Integrated Veteran Care (IVC) and Veterans Community Care Program (VCCP) by strengthening data automation, integration, validation, and reporting capabilities to enable operations and contract readiness.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Dataverse, Power BI, Power Apps, and/or Power Automate.
- Experience designing and supporting data integrations and automated data pipelines.
- Experience working with relational data models, data validation logic, and schema design.
- Familiarity with API integrations, JSON, and RESTful services.
- Experience integrating data across SharePoint, Dataverse, and external systems.
- Experience developing Power BI dashboards for executive or leadership audiences.
- MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Teams).
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy automated data pipelines supporting client initiatives.
- Configure and maintain integrations between Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and external systems (e.g., CMS, PPMS, VA systems).
- Support API integrations to enable provider-level validation, waiver processing, and workflow automation.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve data inconsistencies, schema mismatches, and data quality issues across Dataverse, SharePoint, and external data sources.
- Implement standardized provider data mapping, validation logic, and region assignment methods.
- Design and optimize Power BI data models, datasets, and dashboards to support leadership-facing reporting.
- Integrate automation outputs and validation results into existing reporting frameworks to improve transparency and oversight.
Other
- 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to data quality and detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
