Redhorse Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer to support the US National Defense Strategy by translating complex business requirements into actionable data-driven insights, impacting national security through the modernization of critical defense systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience building dashboards and reports using data visualization tools
- Solid skills in Python (including modular code structure)
- Demonstrated experience with Databricks for data cleaning and transformation
- Strong SQL writing and optimization abilities
- Experience with Palantir Foundry
- Object-Oriented Programming patterns
- Experience with PySpark or other big data processing frameworks
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks
- maintain and enhance existing Python and SQL codebases
- debug, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in data processing pipelines
- Create intuitive dashboards and reports using best practices to clearly communicate insights to diverse audiences
- design user interfaces that guide users naturally through data insights, ensuring a seamless user experience
- Work directly with government customers and stakeholders to elicit clear data requirements
- translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and interface designs
Other
- US citizen with a Secret US government clearance
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Familiarity with common BI tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau)
- Front-end development experience with React
- Work closely with government customers, other data engineers, and product teams
