The company is seeking a skilled Data Engineer/Software Engineer to design and implement data pipelines, maintain and implement Python-based solutions, and optimize database query performance.
Requirements
- Experience maintaining, designing, and implementing Python-based solutions
- Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL
- Experience with AWS cloud-based solutions (e.g. EKS, RDS, EC2, SQS, Lambda)
- Proficiency in utilizing Django’s ORM to efficiently manage database structures
- Experience analyzing and optimizing complex SQL queries
- Experience writing and maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Experience with CI/CD
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines using AWS cloud based solutions, Python, and PostgreSQL
- Design, maintain, and implement Python-based solutions using Django
- Utilize Django's ORM to efficiently interact with and manage database structures
- Perform query optimization and rewrite complex SQL queries
- Analyze and optimize database query performance
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Implement security best practices to protect applications against vulnerabilities
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related degree
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Basic knowledge of health care supply chain
- Basic knowledge of healthcare data rules and standards (such as HIPPA)
- Perform code reviews and help foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment
