Oshkosh is looking to solve business problems by creating data pipelines to support internal customers through their Advanced Analytics team. This involves partnering with data scientists and analysts to understand their pain points and goals, and then crafting innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with Python as a data transformation tool
- Knowledge of relational database concepts
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of building reports and visualization
- Familiar with stages of analytics lifecycle include data extraction, validation, and cleansing.
- General understanding of information technology and concepts
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the data science team to understand a key business problem and work to source and deliver data.
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers to support report development and advanced analytics projects using data lake concepts and technologies.
- Consult with internal customers to collect reporting and data requirements.
- Consult with business and Digital Technology partners on data quality issues.
- Partner with leaders to develop innovative ways to deliver timely and accurate data.
- Utilize Databricks, Azure Cloud, Qlik Replicate and other tools to source and deliver data.
- Assist in the preparation and development of analytics and data science presentations for executive leadership.
Other
- Currently enrolled in a master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
- Willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the duration of the summer 2026 internship.
- Willing to relocate to Oshkosh, WI for summer 2026 internship and/or full-time position
- Excellence in customer service, customer-focused quality, organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with internal/external entities
