IRIS.TV is seeking a Data Engineer specializing in Clojure to work with big data, analytics, and real-time distributed systems to build a robust and flexible data processing architecture.
Requirements
Industry experience with Clojure
Experience with distributed systems (e.g., microservices, fault‑tolerant architectures)
Proficiency in Kafka and Redis (for real-time streaming and in‑memory caching)
Hands-on with containerization and orchestration—Docker and Kubernetes
DevOps mindset, enabling deployment and automation of containerized workloads
Familiarity with data science workflows, analytics pipelines, or ML support
Responsibilities
You will work closely with the Data Engineering team and the Data Science team, solving a wide variety of engineering challenges using Clojure and free software tools on AWS, working with high-availability distributed systems.
