Booz Allen needs an experienced lead data engineer to help clients find answers in their data to impact critical global cyber missions by building advanced technology solutions and implementing data engineering activities.

Requirements

• Experience leading technical teams and driving technical decision making
• Experience with ETL and data pipeline development using tools such as Elastic or NiFi
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with data modeling, including schema development
• Experience with database management and data warehousing
• Experience with DoD information systems
• Experience with knowledge management tools such as the Atlassian suite
• Experience with version control software such as Git
• Experience with development approaches such as Agile or SAFe
• Experience designing and maintaining Data Lakes or Data Lake houses

Responsibilities

• deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful
• manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients
• Experience leading technical teams and driving technical decision making

• Experience with data modeling, including schema development

Other

• Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience in data engineering, or Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in data engineering
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Master’s degree
