SpaceX is looking to solve the problem of simplifying and accelerating data accessibility across regulatory/licensing data and other critical Starlink data to support the growth of its satellite constellation and provide fast, reliable internet to users worldwide.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in Python and SQL
- Understanding of database structures, schema design, query optimizations, ETL development
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
- Expertise in designing software systems
- Front-end experience in React, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks
- Experience working with in-stream data processing of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
- Experience creating and managing dashboards using data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI)
Responsibilities
- Build tools and workflows that improve internal efficiency and collaboration, prevent internal data silos and process breakdowns, and scale with global growth
- Automate time-intensive, repetitive tasks to significantly reduce manual effort
- Fuse data from multiple unstructured sources to build organized, usable data repositories
- Create shared tools that enable self-service access, allowing teams to explore and analyze data independently
- Build and maintain high quality automation to assist with Starlink’s policy objectives and continued growth
- Work closely with Starlink Regulatory and partner teams to assess future needs and position the company accordingly
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or a STEM discipline
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
- Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- Must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
