Amazon's Selling Partner Insights and Analytics (SPIA) organization is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to architect and build data platforms that directly impact seller experience on Amazon, redefininig the future of e-commerce by leveraging vast amounts of data and a strong focus on AI/LLM.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
  • Experience with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
  • Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing

Responsibilities

  • design, implement and support scalable data infrastructure solutions that integrate diverse data sources, aggregate and curate data for reporting, analysis and LLM models
  • create pragmatic solutions while maintaining appropriate complexity levels
  • gather infrastructure requirements
  • design data architecture
  • build data pipelines and datasets to meet business needs
  • creating coherent logical data models that drive physical design
  • designing scalable architectures for robust applications and pipelines

  • excellent business and communication skills to collaborate effectively with business owners and technical leaders
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and implementing them where appropriate will be essential for success in this role.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
  • The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market.
  • Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
